About Ben

I have supervised 22 undergrad and masters students, all achieving 70%+ in dissertations including often their work getting published. I also have extensive lecturing experience and have presented all around the world in scientific conferences, but also all around the UK in schools teaching about food, science and health. I like to think I have an incredible ability to explain very complex science but much simply to every audience. I have a strong internet presence and can find out more by searching my name ”Ben Kew Leeds University” , notably I have won a European PhD student of the year award and a prestigious engineering medal. the first from my background to achieve the award. I’m also proud to be a first generation A level, uni and PhD student and can help you achieve your goals in science.

About the lesson

I teach very much in a “down to earth” style and often use a very scientifically applied fun approach (often with food, nothing better than to teach complex biology/chemistry and physics than to relate to what we all love …food! And the science of it. -Sessions are around an hour can be in person at my university or flexible online -Qualifications: PhD in Food Science and Nutrition, BSc 1st class in Food Science, A*A*AAA at A-level. Several top journal publications including Nature com. I have presented all around the world in scientific conferences, but also all around the UK in schools teaching about food, science and health
