My approach to teaching yoga is therapeutic, personalized, and rooted in both science and tradition. As a certified yoga therapist with a PhD in mental health, I integrate medical insights, yogic philosophy, and practical techniques to offer sessions that are deeply transformative.
Each session is adapted to the individual or group’s needs, whether it’s managing back pain, stress, anxiety, improving focus, or enhancing overall well-being. I incorporate breathwork, gentle movement, mindfulness, and relaxation techniques into a structured yet flexible session plan.
A typical lesson starts with a short check-in, followed by breath awareness, customized movement sequences, guided relaxation or meditation, and a few simple takeaways for daily practice. I also weave in discussions on sleep, posture, emotional resilience, and lifestyle when relevant.
My lessons are ideal for working professionals, students, older adults, or anyone seeking a holistic, grounded way to improve their health—physically, mentally, and emotionally. My Experience with Yoga and Dhanalaksmi

For context, I wore a Shino corset for 12 years due to back issues. I was used to stiffness, to slouching, to discomfort. But after just one of Dhana’s sessions, I found myself sitting with a straight back — effortlessly — without even realizing it. That moment was a quiet miracle.
What I love is that her approach isn’t flashy or overwhelming like some westernized yoga trends. It’s not about the big poses or the Instagram moments. It’s about tuning into your body and mind, doing what’s right for you, and not overdoing it.

Dr. Dhanalakshmi is a certified international yoga therapist, imparting wholesome yoga training with valuable nutrition tips, so that not only recovering the ailments quickly and also to avoid incurring once again. I personally undergone yoga therapy for Frozen Shoulder and Tail bone pain. With simple asanas and movements, I have been totally relieved from my pain.
