About Leighton

Hello! My name is Leighton, and I am a recent Biomedical Sciences graduate and will be starting dental school this year. As a dental student with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science, Cum Laude, from Brigham Young University-Idaho, I bring a unique blend of scientific knowledge and practical skills to my tutoring sessions. I provide each student with a notes page with key concepts from each meeting. I have extensive experience in various subjects, including biology, chemistry, physics, physiology, and anatomy. In undergrad I spent over a year tutoring general and organic chemistry. I then was a teaching assistant for Human Anatomy. I also served as the head teaching assistant for the Head and Neck Anatomy course. These roles have further developed my teaching skills and deepened my understanding of these subjects. I am proficient in French and have experience tutoring the language, which adds to my ability to connect with a diverse range of students. My goal is to help students not only understand their subjects but also develop a passion for learning that will serve them well in their academic and professional futures. I also completed the DAT (Dental Admissions Test) and am available to help you reach your score goal and get into your dream school.
