About Wesley
I am a Benjamin Franklin Scholar, currently enrolled in the School of Engineering and Applied Science at UPenn, and an Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship Winner (2025). My extensive teaching and coaching experiences are strongly supported by my academic achievements. I have consistently maintained a 4.00 unweighted GPA and achieved perfect scores in AP Calculus BC, and Computer Science (Java). Additionally, I am a proud winner of the 1st Place National Award (Gold Medal) in the Beestar's GT Math Competition for exceptional accuracy & speed (Summer 2020). I bring a passion for fostering understanding in math and science, drawing on my expertise to guide and inspire students.

My teaching philosophy centers on fostering genuine understanding and confidence in math and science. I employ an interactive and personalized approach, breaking down complex topics into manageable concepts and connecting them to real-world applications, often leveraging my background in artificial intelligence and data analysis. A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previous material, followed by clear explanations of new concepts, collaborative problem-solving, and dedicated time for student questions. We conclude with a concise summary and practice recommendations to reinforce learning. What sets me apart is my strong academic record as a UPenn science student, including perfect AP Calculus BC and SAT math scores, coupled with my extensive experience coaching diverse students in mathematical modeling and critical thinking. My lessons are tailored for middle and high school students (including those in IB and AP programs) seeking proficiency in all levels of mathematics up through Calculus, and various science subjects like Computer Science, Physics and Chemistry I empower students to not just learn but truly master challenging concepts.
