About Abigail
Hi, my name is Abigail! I am currently studying Primary Inclusive Education and have experience working with children in preschool and elementary classroom settings. Through my education and hands-on experience, I have developed a strong understanding of how children learn and the importance of adapting instruction to meet each student’s individual needs.
I am passionate about helping students build confidence in themselves and their academic abilities. I understand that learning can sometimes feel challenging, so I strive to create a patient, welcoming, and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
I am dependable, organized, and committed to helping each student make meaningful progress. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them become more confident and independent learners who feel proud of what they can accomplish.

My approach to tutoring is patient, encouraging, and focused on each student’s individual needs. I believe children learn best when they feel comfortable, confident, and supported. I use hands-on activities, visuals, games, and real-world examples to make learning engaging while adjusting my teaching methods based on how each student learns best.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previously learned skills, followed by direct instruction and guided practice. Students then have the opportunity to practice more independently while I provide feedback and support. I also like to end lessons with a short review or activity to check understanding and celebrate progress.
As an elementary education student with experience working with young children in classroom settings, I understand that every child develops and learns differently. I strive to create a positive environment where mistakes are viewed as part of learning and students feel comfortable asking questions.
My tutoring is best suited for preschool and elementary-aged students who need additional support, practice, enrichment, or confidence in areas such as reading, writing, math, and other elementary subjects.
