My aim is to help students understand math, build confidence and become independent problem-solvers. I create a patient, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
I tailor lessons to each student’s goals, current understanding and pace. I begin by identifying their strengths and areas needing support, then break topics into manageable steps using clear explanations, visual examples and practical applications. We work through examples together before moving to independent questions. I encourage students to explain their reasoning, helping me identify misunderstandings and strengthen their understanding.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, including a short review, focused teaching, guided and independent practice, and a final recap. I adjust the pace to suit the student and suggest manageable practice between lessons.
I am currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering) (Honors) at RMIT University, where mathematics and analytical problem-solving are central to my studies. Being a student myself helps me appreciate the importance of clear explanations, encouragement and consistent practice.
My lessons welcome secondary-school students aged 12–18, generally in Years 7–12. I provide support with topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, fractions and percentages, with lesson content agreed around each student’s coursework and goals. Whether students want to strengthen their foundations, understand homework or prepare for assessments, I aim to help them develop confidence and a clear, logical approach to solving mathematical problems.
