About Michael
I’m a current student at Purdue University, part of the electrical engineering program here, and am very capable in math. I use it on a daily basis, and am more than capable of helping others. My philosophy when teaching is very simple. I want you to think. I will give you just enough information for you to solve a problem, and will then ask you to solve problems on your own. We will continue this cycle until you understand and can reproduce everything you need to be able to do. I always help out friends and other classmates, as well as actual students I tutor, and help them either understand how to approach a problem with multiple methods, or fill gaps in their knowledge, and explain why we take specific steps when looking at a problem.

Math is a subject that simply takes practice. The more you practice, the better you get, and you can definitely become rusty after not doing it consistently.
It’s also a subject that anybody can get good at — talent has almost nothing to do with it, unless you’re completing a specific degree.
There’s usually always more than one way to solve a problem, but I’ll pass down multiple methods, and you’ll decide on which you like.

Perfect! He gives very thorough explanations to problems and guides you through different ways you can find the answers to them. He’s also very understanding and patient of wherever you are in terms of your level of knowledge.
