Hi! As a conservatory graduate in cello performance I teach instrumental and vocal music, music reading, and music appreciation to students of all levels and ages.

About Azure
I earned my Bachelor's degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music (2016) and a Masters from Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance (2020) both with an emphasis in cello performance. As a part of my degree program, I also completed teacher training for with the Suzuki Association of the Americas, cello books 1-10. In order to further expand my skills set, I later became a certified K-12 music educator in the state of Maryland. All together I have 8+ years of experience teaching music to children and adults in both public and private settings.

In my experience both as a private teacher and a public educator I seek to empower students of all ages and backgrounds by helping them discover and cultivate their unique musical voice. From my formal conservatory education in cello performance as well as my Suzuki pedagogy training, I have developed a teaching style focused on helping students break down complex technical skills into their simple building blocks in order to master each consecutive step of the learning process and then apply the skills learned as they build confidence and joy in their musical abilities.
I teach instrumental music for cello, violin, and piano. I also teach voice, music theory, reading, and musicianship for students of all ages and levels of experience.
