About Dean

As a trained psychotherapist and expert in educational psychology along with 'addictions', my expertise is in supporting students, drawing on a person centred approach with their essay writing. I also help them undertake the appropriate research to back up their arguments, doing it thoroughly and quickly to achieve a 2/1 essay. For those students who want to go the extra mile and want to achieve a 1st I can help them think critically and logically to produce a piece of outstanding work. After having overseen 90 dissertations and undertaking one of the first Doctorates in Qualitative Methods with a viva with Tim Newburn (LSE) and Paul Willis (Harvard) I have expertise in the following: Interpretive Phenomenology, Relational Methods, Grounded Theory, Thematic Analysis and Critical Discourse Analysis. However, please do not book me in for an hour and expect me to be able to explain the whole basis of a methodology - it needs 3-4 hours at least. I also support students to prepare for exams and have worked in the fields of Criminology, Sociology, Psychology, Psychotherapy, Social Work, Development Studies, Politics, Media Studies, Philosophy and Forensic Psychology. I have worked with Doctorate, Masters and Undergraduate Students in a wide range of fields including law, architecture and medicine. Students supported have attended LSE, Imperial, Kings, Oxford, UCL, Goldsmiths, Holloway and Queen Mary Universities. As someone who is therapeutically trained I can work with people who have anxiety, depression and a wide range of issues to ensure they reach their potential. Perfect! Great Tutor!!!
After a class with Mr. Dean W, I became much more relaxed and will certainly overcome my anxiety and worries. I would certainly like to have more classes with him if possible. To conclude, Mr. Dean W is so wonderful that I recommend him as an excellent psychotherapist to all of you!!!
