About Sohan

With my ability to teach complex concepts and my in-depth knowledge of the subjects I teach, I have found that I excel at helping students learn. My academic achievements, including a 5 in AP Calculus BC, a 5 in AP Computer Science, and a 4 in AP Physics 2, demonstrate my proficiency in these areas. Mathematics is a particular passion of mine, and I love sharing my enthusiasm with my students. I attribute this passion to my love of learning, which was evident even in high school when I spent countless hours scouring wiki sites to master difficult calculus and algebra problems. By teaching students how to solve problems and sharing my philosophy of problem-solving, I am able to impart my love of math to them. Even if students don't initially find math interesting, I can demonstrate how advanced math is used in real-world applications to help them see its relevance. My goal is not only to help students excel academically but also to cultivate a love of math that enriches their intellectual experiences. And, of course, to help them earn an A+ on their upcoming midterm!

About the lesson

I have diverse methods to teach students, allowing me to modify my plans to their needs. I am good at drawing detailed images to convey complex mathematical ideas to students in a clean manner. I am good at using diagrams like Venn diagrams, mind maps, flowcharts, and line graphs to convey relationships between data sets or concepts. I have a casual persona that puts students at ease, allowing them to better concentrate on the topic. I can easily communicate ideas because I can chunk information into bitesize pieces like notecards, allowing the students to easily memorize. My lessons are for high school students who have a strong passion to learn but lack the techniques to properly digest difficult content. Not only will I teach them how to solve specific problems, but I will teach them the entire paradigm of problem-solving so they can also solve novel problems and lead.
