About Tae Hyun
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and have been tutoring students for over 10 years. Throughout my college education, I earned A’s in all of my college-level math courses, and I have developed a strong foundation across mathematics from elementary and middle school concepts through college calculus.
Beyond mathematics, my background in Computer Science has allowed me to teach programming languages including Python and Java, as well as help students develop logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
I take pride in being patient, thorough, and attentive to each student’s individual needs. I believe that a strong tutor should do more than provide answers—I aim to help students understand the reasoning behind each concept so they become confident and independent learners!
I am bilingual in English and Korean and enjoy working with students from a variety of academic and cultural backgrounds. Whether a student needs to strengthen their fundamentals, prepare for a challenging course, or work toward mastering advanced material, I approach every lesson with professionalism and careful preparation.

My approach is centered on understanding concepts deeply rather than simply memorizing formulas. With 10 years of tutoring experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, I tailor each lesson to the student’s level, goals, and learning style!
A typical lesson begins by identifying areas that need improvement, followed by a clear explanation of the underlying concepts and guided practice. I then work through progressively challenging problems with the student, encouraging them to explain their reasoning and develop independent problem-solving skills.
I teach mathematics from grades 6–8 through college-level calculus, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and pre-calculus. I also teach programming, including Python and Java. As a bilingual English-Korean tutor, I can adapt explanations to students from a variety of backgrounds.
My goal is not simply to help students complete their current assignments, but to build a strong mathematical foundation, confidence, and the ability to approach unfamiliar problems independently.
