About Ema

A math enthusiast, I graduated in theoretical computer science. Working in the IT industry, I apply the acquired knowledge on a daily basis. My further interests include art, philosophy, psychology and sociology. By studying the areas mentioned, I develop knowledge that I actively apply in working with people and pedagogical methods. Many years of experience in working with students began with volunteer work, and continued with personal recommendations. What makes me persist in teaching is my strong love for sharing knowledge, and supporting students in seeing a new perspective in the field of mathematics and beyond.

About the lesson

My teaching methods boil down to defining a starting point of existing knowledge, iteratively finding an optimal technique of learning that comes naturally to the student, then positive reinforcement and continuous support. I believe that teaching is an art that uses the tool of communication. Each lesson aims to improve students' self-confidence, acquire work habits, and build interest in the subject of study.
