Teaching Methodology
My teaching approach is student-centred, adaptable, and interactive. I design lessons based on the learner’s goals—whether they aim to improve pronunciation, enhance reading skills, construct grammatically correct sentences, or understand and appreciate English literature.
1. Reading Skills
I guide students through reading comprehension using pre-reading questions, prediction exercises, and post-reading discussions.
Emphasis is placed on vocabulary building, identifying tone, and recognising figurative language.
I use a mix of literary and non-literary texts appropriate to the student's level.
2. Grammar and Sentence Construction
Concepts are introduced through examples, followed by guided practice.
Sentence formation is taught using structure-building activities.
Regular reinforcement through speaking and writing tasks ensures practical application.
3. English Literature
Literary texts are taught with attention to historical background, author intent, and thematic interpretation.
I encourage critical thinking through discussion-based classes and textual analysis.
Students learn to appreciate literary devices, symbolism, and character development through guided reading and discussion.
