I’m a dedicated college student with a strong academic record, maintaining a 3.8 GPA while pursuing my studies. With experience in peer tutoring through the National Honor Society, I’ve developed a passion for helping students succeed and build confidence in their math skills. I specialize in middle and high school math, including pre-algebra, algebra, and precalculus. I take a patient, personalized approach to each lesson. I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and grow at their own pace. As a tutor, professionalism is at the core of my approach. As a tutor, I take a student-centered approach to teaching, focusing on building a strong foundation in math. My goal is to help students understand concepts and boost their confidence in their abilities. I emphasize clear explanations with the goal of mutual understanding and employ step-by-step problem-solving.
I encourage active learning, where students attempt problems themselves with guidance, promoting a deeper understanding. Each lesson typically begins with an evaluation of where the student is with the material so that I may understand what areas they do and do not feel confident in. I review topics previously covered, followed by an introduction to any new material. I use practice problems throughout the session to help reinforce what’s learned. Throughout the lesson, I encourage students to ask questions and work on additional problems independently.
My tutoring is suitable for middle and high school students, focusing on subjects such as pre-algebra, algebra, and precalculus. Whether students are struggling with foundational concepts or looking to strengthen their understanding of more advanced courses, I am here to help them succeed.
