About Ted

I am an experienced history tutor, having worked both as a freelance tutor and at Study Hut in Hermosa Beach, California. At Study Hut, I tutored on-site and through Zoom, and was additionally entrusted with tutoring at-home students. I graduated from Swarthmore College with a 3.8 and have recently been accepted for a Ph.D. program in English Literature at the University of Maryland.

About the lesson

I tailor my lesson plans to the strengths of my students, tapping into the learning style that suits them best--whether that's discussion, quizzing, lecture, or something else altogether. Lesson plans are always thorough and prepared in advance. I bring knowledge of a variety of study techniques and experience in helping students write A+ essays. I can tutor students in elementary, middle, and high school (including students taking AP World History, AP United States History, AP European History, and AP Human Geography).
