About Lindsay
I’m a former admissions professional at Cornell University, where I evaluated applications and made recommendations that helped shape the incoming class.
In my work with students, I focus on how applications are actually assessed, developing a clear, cohesive strategy that is carried through every part of the process, rather than treating each component in isolation.
My academic background in anthropology and archaeology (MA, Cornell University) informs this approach, allowing me to identify patterns in a student’s experiences and shape them into a narrative that aligns with how admissions decisions are made.
Students I’ve worked with have been admitted to highly selective colleges, including Ivy League and other top-tier universities. More importantly, they approach the process with clarity and direction, so their candidacy is presented intentionally and effectively.
I work with students applying to selective institutions, as well as those seeking focused support on specific parts of the application, including essay development and strategy.

My methodology is built on how admissions committees make decisions, informed by my experience inside the admissions office at Cornell University.
My approach focuses on building a clear, cohesive application strategy—whether across a student's full portfolio or within specific components such as essay development.
Sessions are typically focused on one area at a time: positioning, activities, or essays, with careful attention to how each piece contributes to the overall application.
For students working on essays, I focus on development and direction—helping shape ideas and structure rather than simply polishing drafts.
Students leave each session with clear next steps and an understanding of how their work fits into the broader application.
This approach is well-suited for students applying to selective colleges, as well as those seeking focused support on specific parts of the process.

I cannot be more grateful for Lindsay. She goes above and beyond for every single student, and helped me succeed through every step of the college application pipeline, ensuring I felt "confident and prepared" after every session. Her approach is targeted and focused, never unprepared, always thoughtful, and extremely methodic, with a clear goal of each session. She gives her students ultimate flexibility but also challenges them to succeed. This approach has benefitted me and countless other students, and I recommend her highly.

My practice is a codified system, not a collection of tips.
Work is structured around three core areas—application positioning, activities development, and essay direction—so that each part of the application supports a clear, cohesive narrative.
Sessions focus on one area at a time, with defined next steps, targeted exercises, and a clear rationale for the work, so students are not just completing tasks, but understanding how to build and present their candidacy.
This approach is grounded in my experience inside the Cornell admissions office and refined through years of private practice, allowing students to approach the process with clarity and direction.
The initial 30-minute session is an introductory consultation focused on understanding the student's current positioning and outlining clear next steps.
