About Lorenzo
Received classical training in drawing and painting at the Grand Central Atelier under the tutelage of Jacob Collins. Lorenzo has exhibited work in shows in New York City, Philadelphia, Vermont, and Manila. He is the recipient of numerous awards and fellowships including the Hudson River Fellowship and the Future Generation Prize from Portrait Society of America. He has been teaching privately since 2020.

I am an accommodating instructor who teaches fundamental art concepts and techniques tailored to your specific needs. Always patient, I give detailed constructive feedback that is encouraging and easy to understand. All ages and levels are welcome.
Students are able to choose and discuss with me specific goals that they would like to accomplish over one or more private classes. Lessons will include short demonstrations, in-depth critiques, lessons in art fundamentals and visual concepts, and guidance in the approach best suited for their creative goals. We can work on portraiture, still life, landscape, the human figure, or any other personal project you have in mind.
Classes may include lessons on the following topics:
-Paint application
-Color theory and color mixing
-Form modeling and rendering light
-Artistic anatomy
-Gesture drawing
-Oil painting methods and techniques
-Composition
