My teaching approach is centered around understanding each student’s unique body and mind. I incorporate a blend of alignment-focused cues and mindful breathwork to help students connect with their practice on a deeper level. I emphasize body awareness and offer modifications to ensure every student feels supported, regardless of their experience or physical limitations.
My classes are designed on building strength, flexibility, and mental clarity. I also integrate principles of mindfulness, encouraging students to stay present and cultivate a sense of calm and balance both on and off the mat.
centering (5-10 minutes): Each class begins with a centering, such as a short meditation or breathing practice (pranayama), to help students connect to the present moment and set an intention for their practice.
Warm-Up (10-15 minutes): Gentle movement and stretches to prepare the body for more intense poses, focusing on breath awareness and joint mobility.
Main Sequence (20-30 minutes): The flow typically includes a mix of standing, balancing, and seated postures, carefully sequenced to build strength, flexibility, and focus. I provide detailed alignment cues, offering adjustments where necessary.
Cool Down (10 minutes): A series of restorative postures, often including forward folds and gentle twists, to release tension and allow the body to transition into a calm state.
Closing (5 minutes): The session ends with a short relaxation or meditation (Savasana), giving students a moment to absorb the benefits of their practice and restore their energy.
