About Zara
I bring over 7 years of experience and a Master’s in Pharmaceutical Chemistry to my role as a specialised tutor in corrosion science. My passion lies in showing students how chemistry helps solve real problems—especially when it comes to preventing material degradation. In our sessions, we study electrochemical corrosion, galvanic cells, and how environmental conditions influence metal behaviour. I focus on key protective strategies like passivation, cathodic protection, and using corrosion-resistant materials. Case studies from industries like oil, transport, and construction provide tangible context for every topic we cover. By breaking down dense material into step-by-step visuals and logical processes, I make complex ideas accessible and engaging. Whether you're in applied chemistry or engineering, you’ll develop a clear, practical understanding of corrosion and how to manage it.

Step into the world of biochemistry in my chemistry lessons, where we investigate the molecular architecture of life itself. We analyse proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids—not in isolation, but as vital players in biological systems. These lessons are about comprehension, not memorisation. Using a mix of case-based learning and application-driven scenarios, we explore metabolic cycles, enzyme activity, and biochemical regulation. You’ll see how these processes affect everything from energy use in cells to overall health in organisms. I craft each lesson to match your interests and goals, supporting students who are pre-med, in life sciences, or just fascinated by how chemistry drives living systems. Critical thinking and scientific reasoning are key components of every session. My goal is to help you not only succeed academically but develop a genuine interest in molecular biology. You’ll walk away with the ability to break down complex systems and see chemistry as a tool to understand life itself.
