About Rebecca
With 9 years' experience teaching Chemistry and Combined Science across a range of Liverpool secondary schools, including a high-performing grammar school, I have developed a flexible and engaging approach to teaching that adapts to every student's needs. Alongside my classroom experience, I served as **Lead Practitioner of Science**, supporting teaching and learning by developing high-quality resources, coaching colleagues, and sharing effective classroom practice. This breadth of experience has given me an extensive repertoire of lesson ideas, explanations, and revision techniques, allowing me to tailor sessions to different learning styles and help students build both confidence and strong exam performance.

First lessons are 30 minutes and designed to assess current needs and set out a plan for learning strategies.
All subsequent lessons are 50 minutes and are tailored to your specific requirements and focus, e.g. exam practice, content recall, new content or lesson revisits, required practical practice and preparation etc.

I have 9 years of secondary teaching experience, alongside 5 years of one-to-one tutoring, supporting students of all abilities, from building confidence and securing a pass to helping high-achieving students progress from grades 7–9.
I am also an AQA examiner so have excellent insight into what exams are really looking for with particular types of question.
