About Hannah
Hi, I'm Hannah! I hold a B.Ed in Secondary STEM Education and a B.Sc in Chemical Biology from Thompson Rivers University, and I'm currently completing my path toward becoming a certified secondary school teacher. I've always found an interest in science, and I love helping students discover that same confidence in their own understanding.
My background isn't just academic. I've spent time working in research labs, conducting experiments and gaining real-world understanding, and in social services where I trained in a person-centered approach. That experience shaped how I teach: with patience, genuine attentiveness, and a real commitment to meeting each student exactly where they are.
Whether you're in elementary school, high school, or first-year university, and whether you're catching up, staying ahead, or just trying to make a tricky subject finally click, I'm here to help you get there. Lessons are flexible in both length and structure, built around what you actually need in the moment.
I take tutoring seriously, both the subject matter and the relationship. You can expect someone reliable, well-prepared, and genuinely invested in your progress, every session.
Looking forward to working with you!

My Teaching Methodology
I use differentiated instruction - meeting you where you are. From on my teaching degree, I use concepts step-by-step, check understanding throughout the lesson (not just at the end), and connect abstract science to real-world examples.
A Typical Lesson
We will use a quick check-in on what's confusing and what you want to focus on. Then we move through explanation, guided practice, and problem-solving. We end with a clear takeaway to review before next time. Lessons run as long as you need and stay flexible.
What Sets Me Apart
I'm a trained secondary science teacher, so I know why students get stuck, not just how to repeat the same explanation. I also bring experience supporting neurodivergent learners, so patience and adapting to different learning styles is built into how I teach.
Who These Lessons Are For
Elementary, high school, and lower-level undergraduate students in chemistry, biology, and general science, whether catching up, getting ahead, or building exam confidence.
