About Margot
Margot graduated with Honors from UNC Chapel Hill with a double major in Psychology and Spanish and earned a dual Masters degree in General and Special Education from Bank Street College. Margot taught with Teach For America (TFA) in NYC public schools, served as a TFA manager and coach for new teachers for 10 years, and now works for TNTP.
She currently lives in Seattle with her partner and dog. She loves Cross Training, yoga, and cooking.

Margot is an experienced private tutor and classroom teacher for students from a variety of backgrounds. As a classroom teacher and tutor, Margot has taught subjects including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies in both special and general education programs in elementary, middle, and high school for over 15 years. In addition to subject-based tutoring, she provides test-prep and high school admissions testing prep as well.
In math, she has experience tutoring pre-k through 8th grade.
She believes in customizing her approach to meet students' specific needs, and views learning differences as assets rather than obstacles. Each session will include an opportunity to set goals, work through challenges, and reflect. You will receive a full report on your child's progress after each session.
