About Krystal
I achieved certified tutor status at my local junior college after taking a tutoring course and proceeding to assist various adults by teaching one-unit courses in English spelling, vocabulary, grammar, writing, note-taking, etc. I also helped students at the local computer lab with finishing their GED/high school diploma equivalent. Finally, after graduating with honors from my university, I took all the coursework required for the fifth-year Multiple Subject Teaching Credential program. All student teaching assignments were completed and I received a Preliminary Teaching Credential that enabled me to take long-term substitute jobs for contracted teachers that were injured, on maternity leave, etc. for 20 years.

Hi, my name is Krystal Collins. I would be happy to tutor in all facets of ESL, including Business English, phonetics, listening, speaking, vocabulary, reading, and writing to adults and ELL subject matter for children and teens. I am passionate about writing, so I also love tutoring any English Language Arts, History/Social Studies/Humanities for grades K through 12 and beyond because adults should never stop learning. A typical lesson plan would be adapted to a student's learning modality, whether visual, auditory, tactile (touch), etc. I like to think I have a warm and welcoming presence, gently persistent toward achieving learning objectives.
