About Jonathan

Hi! I'm Jonathan, a certified high school teacher with certifications in Chemistry, Physics, and AICE Thinking Skills. Over the past 10 years, I've taught at several highly regarded Florida schools, including Middleton High School, Newsome High School, Lennard High School, and Morgan High School. I recently relocated from Hillsborough County to Orange County, where I will be teaching at one of the top high schools in the county.

I have always been passionate about helping students discover that science is not just a collection of formulas and facts, but a way of understanding the world around us. My goal is to make challenging subjects approachable, engaging, and even enjoyable. Whether a student needs help building foundational skills, preparing for an important exam, or excelling in an advanced course, I work to create a supportive environment where they feel confident asking questions and tackling difficult concepts.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy continuing to learn, exploring new teaching strategies, and helping students develop the critical-thinking skills that will serve them well long after they leave school. I look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals, strengthen your understanding of science, and build confidence in your abilities.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs, goals, and learning style. Whether you're looking to improve your grades, prepare for an exam, strengthen your understanding of Chemistry or Physics, or develop critical-thinking skills for AICE Thinking Skills, I will create a structured plan to help you succeed.

As a certified high school teacher with nearly 10 years of classroom experience, I know that every student learns differently. My teaching style emphasizes clear explanations, guided practice, and real-world applications that make complex concepts easier to understand and remember. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and develop confidence in their abilities.

Lessons can include homework support, test preparation, concept review, problem-solving strategies, and study skills. My goal is not simply to help students find the right answer, but to help them understand the process so they can become independent, successful learners.
