About Tria
I am a certified Spanish bilingual teacher, working in the public system for over 5 years. I have taught grade 3, 5, 6 and 7 as well as kindergarten in China and Mexico. I have a bachelor's degree in Political science with a minor in Latin American studies and Spanish as well as an Education bachelor's degree. I have my permanent teaching certificate in Alberta.
I am the learning leader for English In a middle school in Calgary and have tutored students for Grade 9 PAT prep as well as reading and writing improvements.

My teaching method depends on the area of strength for the student as well as the area in which the student needs to most improvement. For reading I incorporate short stories and literacy analysis for older students and quick tricks to improve fluency and comprehension in younger students. For writing I use small steps to improve and elaborate on written work and ideas, as well as using graphic organizers and planning tools to help focus and organize ideas.
