About Adri
I spent over 15 years in the corporate world before being diagnosed with Graves' Disease, an autoimmune condition. Determined to heal without lifelong medication, I made profound changes—reducing stress by stepping away from the corporate desk to study yoga, transforming my diet, and moving to a quieter town closer to nature. Today, I am completely medicine-free.
Becoming a yoga teacher feels like my true calling. Training in India for my 200-hour certification was one of the most transformative experiences of my life. I have also completed a 50-hour Yoga for Cancer Recovery course, which has deepened my approach to teaching. I continue to expand my knowledge, both in theory and practice—I maintain a daily asana practice and am currently completing an extensive experiential anatomy course.

One of my most favourite things about working with individuals is the chance to personalise and tailor the programme framework as per the person's needs. Depending on Your goals, the tools of yoga can benefit You in different ways. These tools can help professional athletes improve their performance both physically and mentally; everyday people to start on a journey towards a healthier lifestyle; or can go as deep and as specific as you need... helping with weight loss, stress / anxiety / depression release, better ageing, MS, a complementary therapy to aid healing (e.g. cancer, physical or mental diseases) and more. Learning and utilising the tools that are appropriate for You is the key. We will first start with a complimentary consultation call to get to know each other and discuss your goals. We will work in a block of 5 sessions planned ahead, including handouts sent to you with your personalised sequence that gets tailored based on how things change / progress each week. The typical length of a lesson will be anywhere between 40-75mins, depending on Your goals. You do not need to have any previous experience, you do not need to be flexible either... You are looking to learn, after all. Yoga is For Everyone. I can work with you if you are between 21 - 60 yrs old, committed to making a change in your life and would like to discover the numerous benefits yoga has to offer. P.S.: Don't worry if you fall outside of the age range. Get in touch and let's talk through your needs - if I cannot help, I might be able to recommend someone who can :)

My first experience of yoga was at one of Adri’s amazing retreats, just before lockdown. I realised immediately this was for me so started having weekly private lessons with Adri.
Adri taught me Ashtanga over zoom, with an incredible patience and intuitiveness - identifying adjustments and variations to suit me, doing research into any symptoms I told her about and providing reading recommendations too. I found the weekly sessions a real focus point to help me develop a regular practice.
Practicing yoga has helped me physically and mentally over the past 4 years. The breathing control has improved my asthma to the point I no longer need medication, and also helps me remain calm when faced with any stressful situation. I’ve toned up amazingly, and would say I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been. And the routine of regular practice gave me a focus during COVID, having a positive impact on my mental health during a time when so many struggled.
Highly recommend both yoga and Adri!I started having private lessons with Adri 3 years ago, I was a complete beginner. Adri has guided me through the basics of ashtanga , she has adjusted what we do each week to suit my capabilities ( and sometimes my life challenges:-))all done with kindness and patience and without judgement. I have also attend 5 of her retreats which always leave me refreshed and reset for the months ahead..Wherever you are in your yoga journey Adri will take account of it and help you reach your ‘edge’.

If you're in Stroud or in the Stroud area, it would be wonderful to find ways to meet and practise in person. We can work out the details of this, based on where you are and where we are meeting! NB: There might be extra fee involved to cover travel costs / booking a room etc You will receive electronic (or printed) material discussing the summary of our sessions, any homework and your personalised sequence, which we will be practising together. This might change as we carry on working together and it is different person to person, depending on your goals you'd like to achieve
