About Amelie
I'm a passionate artist and UAL Honours Graduate with experience in teaching workshops at Central Saint Martins.
I loved my time at art school, but I remember the overwhelm and anxiety through the application process of Art & Design Foundation as well as BA very well. I equally remember the joy I felt when I got that email confirming my acceptance to the course, and I want to pass on my knowledge to let others experience that same feeling. Having completed 5 years of studies at a world-renowned art school, I know the ins-and outs of the application process and exactly what the admissions panel is looking for, having gained this knowledge directly from them.

Are you preparing to apply to top art schools and want your portfolio to stand out? I’m a professional artist with a first class Honours degree in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins, and I’ve led workshops guiding students just like you at this renowned institution for a year now. I can help you curate, create, and organize your portfolio, drawing from my experience with successful applications to UAL, Slade, and Goldsmiths. We’ll work together to shape a portfolio that tells your story and catches the attention of admissions panels for leading Art, Design & Fashion Courses.
In addition, I offer guidance on crafting a personal statement that goes beyond clichés, making sure your unique perspective and strengths shine through. My teaching style is direct and focused, and I’ll help you navigate typical pitfalls to make your portfolio both professional and memorable. Let’s make sure your application stands out for all the right reasons!
Whether you are starting from scratch with art, or have taken art-related subjects in school, I will help you break down and tackle the daunting task of art school applications.
What to expect:
- Initial free 20 minute assessment of where you’re at and how to take you to a brilliant application.
- We outline a custom plan of between 4-10 online sessions (2 hours each) together.
In the sessions:
- We work based on your unique motivations as an aspiring Art, Design, or Fashion student.
- I answer any questions or concerns you have about your application as well as life at art school.
- We discuss what makes you strong as a creative student, and tailor your portfolio to highlight these strengths, based on a proven portfolio template I provide.
- I give prompts for you to work on in between our sessions. These will help you improve and generate artworks, sketchbook pages and research which is essential in presenting your thinking to admissions boards.
- If you wish, I will help you write your personal statement to match your refined portfolio.
