About Maria

Hello! My name is Maria. I’m a CELTA-certified English teacher and International Business graduate with 5+ years of experience helping learners develop practical, confident English communication skills.

I work with adults and young learners, with particular experience in Business English, conversational English, interview preparation, presentations, and professional communication.

My approach is communicative, personalized, and student-centered. I tailor lessons to each learner’s goals, level, and interests while creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and building confidence.

Having worked with learners from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, I understand that effective learning needs to be adapted to the individual. Whether your goal is career development, academic success, travel, or everyday communication, I’ll help you develop English skills you can actually use.

About the lesson

I am adaptable and tailor my teaching approach to each student’s goals, level, and learning style. We’ll begin with a consultation to discuss your objectives and create a learning plan that works for you.

For professionals, I provide practical, personalized English lessons focused on real workplace communication. We can work on Business English, meetings, presentations, emails, interviews, and confident speaking, with lessons tailored to your role, goals, and level.

For younger learners, I focus on building vocabulary, pronunciation, phonics, speaking confidence, and grammar. I use a variety of materials, including age-appropriate articles, structured grammar activities, and discussions around engaging topics to keep lessons useful and interesting.

I may assign homework when appropriate, as regular exposure to English outside the classroom can make a significant difference in progress. However, I’m flexible and understand that every student has different needs. If your main goal is simply to practice speaking and build confidence, we can absolutely focus on that.

She’s an amazing teacher, she also takes all of the classes seriously, she created a google document with me making notes on all the vocabularies, idioms and phrases I need to remember.
