About Catherine
Hi! I'm Catherine, a 23-year-old from Washington with a passion for art! Over the years, I've worked as a nanny, an assistant preschool teacher, and have taught a handful of long-term art students. These days, I'm a full-time student, work at an art museum, and volunteer at Oregon Dog Rescue in my free time. I love sharing my passion for art with others and teaching!

My lessons are all about creativity and having fun! I love helping students explore their artistic interests in a relaxed and encouraging environment where there is no pressure to be perfect. Whether drawing, painting, creating collages, sculpting, or experimenting with new materials, I tailor each lesson to the individual students' interests and goals/desires and what excites them most. I have three years of atelier training focused on figure drawing and a love for creating art across a variety of mediums. I think I'm pretty skilled at breaking down complex concepts into fun, age-appropriate lessons that help students build real artistic skills while staying engaged and excited to learn. Every child is so creative, and my goal is to help them feel proud of their work while building new skills!
