About Maria
I am a Biochemistry Engineer, with a Master's degree in Food Science and Technology and a Doctorate in Biological Sciences, where I specialize in food physicochemistry. I have teaching experience, in person and online, since August 2008. Among the subjects I have taught include: chemistry and food analysis, functional foods, nutritional biochemistry, physicochemistry, food biotechnology.

I like to teach based on current information; reviewing and discussing articles, doing practical exercises, in the presentations I prefer to use examples, images, to make the learning experience friendly, I really like to accompany the students in research and development activities of the subjects. I prefer to structure the courses, but I also understand that there are different ways of learning, so I am open to the flexibility of focusing on topics that are of special interest to students.
