About Tom
I am currently studying Physical Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, my course encompasses aspects of maths, physics and chemistry and I greatly enjoy both learning and teaching sciences and maths. With the majority of my education being delivered online, I am well acquainted with online learning and how to overcome the difficulties but also take advantage of the benefits provided by internet tuition.
I previously tutored GCSE mathematics at Gillingham School and through a job in sports coaching I am experienced at working with children of various ages.

I am confident and capable to tutor pupils of a range of abilities and at a variety of different academic levels. From personal experience I have found that plenty of practise and appropriate reflection is essential to exam success, so I aim to structure my tuition around completing exercises and discussing solutions and how to improve.
Tutorials will focus on working through example problems, focusing on core understanding, approaching challenges and relevant exam technique . From personal experience I know that teaching in this way covers a lot of content quickly whilst also ironing out any weaknesses or problems with certain topics. I also aim to be as flexible as possible and cater to the tutee if they have areas they wish to focus on.
