About JACQUI
I have also tutored students in reading skills; skimming and speed reading as well as context reading strategies, listening skills and conversation. Synonyms, acronyms, metaphors and English literature.
Through these tutoring positions, I have learned how to teach different age groups best and what keeps the students motivated. For example, I created comics to help my middle school students to be more creative when writing, but I gave my high school students a pub quiz to help them remember vocabulary out of and in context.
I am passionate about helping students improve in all academic subjects. This is why I also teach the CLIL, which is chemistry or biology in English as a second language.
Over the last few years I have also been responsible for making and planning the school syllabus, reading materials, grammar materials, PowerPoints and devising the university entrance examination simulations. I am also actively involved with the UKVI and Erasmus, inter-culture, personal statement proof reading and editing.

Over the past seven years, I have taught a variety English courses. I have taught a number of business and academic courses, as well as writing courses, including technical writing such as marketing strategies and proposals. I have extensive experience working with ESL students, as well as students with a variety of learning disabilities.
I have experience working with middle-school, high school and university students in preparation for Cambridge ESOL exams such as PET (B1), FCE (B2), CAE (C1), CPE (C2) and the TKT CLIL. Also, I teach all aspects of IELTS both academic and general. During these lessons, we study all aspects of grammar and vocabulary, as well as phrasal verbs, idioms, and collocations.
Quite often I teach BULTS, BEC and TOEIC for businesses and companies. During this time it is often necessary to combine American English with British English, teach students more academic English and formal writing, such as proposals, reviews, applications, cover letters, and articles.
