About Asal

- Bachelor of Science graduate, currently studying dentistry
- I teach at a licensed learning academy in Kitsilano, minutes from Point Grey and Dunbar, so sessions can be held in a proper academic space instead of a kitchen table
- Have worked at 6 different core learning academies
- Experienced with ADHD, autism and other learning differences
- Focused on understanding subjects instead of memorizing them
- Parents receive progress updates, so you always know where your child stands
- Flexible with time

About the lesson

- Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, aligned with the BC curriculum
My teaching method is simple and efficient. It begins with challenging questions about the topic, followed by a preview of the subject. Then I teach it, and at the end the student teaches it back to me. If they can explain it, they own it.
Each student follows a structured plan, and we review progress together after the first month so you can judge early whether it is working.

Most of my students meet me at the academy in Kitsilano, and I also run small group classes there for students who stay more motivated learning alongside peers. Many families combine the two.

Details

Private sessions: $74 per hour, all in, including session space at the academy and progress updates for parents. Your first session is half price, so you can see the fit before committing to anything.

Small group classes at the academy: $259 per month for weekly classes. This is the option most families choose for ongoing consistency, with the same structure and progress updates as private sessions.

Private packs: 5 hours for $360, 10 hours for $700.
