About Tom

My name is Tom Yao. I'm a college student majoring in physics at Brown University. I've prioritized education throughout all of high school. I've previously tutored students on Khan Academy's Schoolhouse website and have worked in person with kids from my high school. I self-studied a lot in high school and my favorite quote comes from a MIT OpenCourseWare video on engineering dynamics: "MIT students aren't much different from sixth graders when it comes to learning. It's just that the sixth graders are a little more transparent."

About the lesson

I'm excited to teach you about my favorite school subjects and hopefully inspire you to enjoy them as much as I do. You will learn how to think mathematically and break down difficult problems into simple concepts and create a strategy to solve them. The only thing you need to memorize is that you can do this!
