About Richard

Quote from supervisor: "It is with great pleasure and unqualified enthusiasm I recommend Richard Young for the Global
Head of Academics position with the EF Network. Simply put, Mr. Young is one of the finest educators
with which I have had the pleasure to work with during my twenty-five years in education. Currently he
serves as Associate Managing Director for Uplift Education, his third promotion in four years with Uplift. In
his various roles within Uplift, Mr. Young has worked with both affluent schools and with schools that serve
students with over ninety-five percent free and reduced lunch students and over fifty percent English
Language Learners. Mr. Young is one of the few educators who possesses both the finesse and skill to work
at the highest level in these diverse settings. The success the schools have attained under his direction is
unprecedented. Currently, North Hills Preparatory, the school he has worked with the past four years, was
recently named the 2nd most challenging school in the nation by the Washington Post, using Jay Matthewโ€™s
well respected Challenge Index. His combination of instructional skills and ability to switch styles to meet the
needs of the audience is exceedingly rare."
