About Taylar
I graduated from Texas A&M University in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Psychology. Through my coursework, I have developed a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, psychology, and other health-related sciences.
As a student pursuing a career in medicine, I understand the challenges of rigorous STEM coursework and the importance of building a strong foundation early. I am excited to help high school and college students build a firm foundation in these subjects.

My main focus is ensuring students understand the reasoning behind concepts, which improves test-taking skills and long-term retention. I like to break down complex topics to the simplest foundations and gradually build up to more advanced ideas. I use a combination of written explanations, visual aids, and real-world examples to accommodate different learning styles and help students develop a deeper understanding of the material.
Before each lesson, students will send their syllabus and relevant course materials so I can understand their current progress and tailor our sessions to their specific needs. During our session, we will identify areas of confidence and areas that need additional support. From there, we will work through the material together, focusing on concepts that feel challenging while connecting them to the broader picture. I like to reinforce understanding through practice problems, active recall, and open discussion.
As a STEM student myself, I am very familiar with the process of working through challenging material and building confidence over time. I understand that not all concepts come naturally, and struggling with difficult topics is a normal part of learning. As your tutor, my goal is to help you develop a strong foundation, gain confidence in your abilities, and feel empowered to approach science courses with a better understanding of how and why concepts work.
