About Jessica
I obtained my BASc in Biomedical Engineering (2023) from UBC where I specialized in cellular biomedical engineering and regenerative medicine. I have tutored peers and students in cell biology, physiology, anatomy and biomechanics throughout my undergraduate degree. I love to teach with graphics in an interactive manner to keep students engaged with the material. Biology is about understanding concepts and memorizing terms, therefore I love to develop clever ways of recalling information.

My tutoring lessons are a mixture of lecture and practice questions to ensure students are engaged and can fully grasp the content I’m teaching. I will ask for example notes, assignments or topics to focus on ahead of the lesson so I can create personalized lesson plans for students. I will teach at the student's pace and take the time to explain topics until students fully understand the topic before moving on.
