About Briar

I’m a Biology tutor with 10+ years of experience and a Master’s degree in Molecular Genetics. My teaching specialises in neurobiology and the fascinating workings of the brain. About the lesson

My teaching approach in Biology is gentle, thoughtful, and designed to open up the hidden world of microorganisms. I focus on topics like microbiology, bacteria, viruses, disease transmission, and public health biology. These subjects can feel overwhelming, but I guide students with clarity and patience. Through visuals, case studies, and real-world examples, I help learners understand how microbes shape our health and environment. We dive into how infections spread, how the body defends itself, and how public health systems respond. I encourage questions and curiosity at every step. I work especially well with Toxicologists and Curious Tinkerers, helping them explore their personal path in microbiological understanding. My lessons are adapted to fit each student's pace and style of learning. Together, we analyse lab data, review microbial life cycles, and connect microscopic facts to big-picture insights. By the end of our sessions, students gain confidence in interpreting scientific evidence and thinking critically about pathogens and immunity. I encourage reflective thinking and close observation.
