About Ivy
My interest in biology started in high school when I became fascinated by the intricacies of human anatomy and the complexity of ecosystems. This passion led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, where I delved deeply into genetics, cellular processes, and experimental techniques. Over 7 years of teaching, I have worked with students of diverse backgrounds, helping them develop a strong understanding of biological concepts, practical skills, and scientific reasoning.
I emphasize a structured, engaging, and supportive approach to teaching. Beginners receive clear explanations, visual aids, and interactive activities to build foundational knowledge. Intermediate learners tackle genetics, physiology, and ecological systems with guidance on analytical thinking and problem-solving. Advanced students work on experimental design, data analysis, and deeper conceptual understanding to prepare for exams or research projects. I create a learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and active participation.
Outside teaching, I stay connected to biology through research articles, lab techniques, and scientific developments in molecular biology and ecology. This allows me to bring real-world relevance into my lessons, helping students understand the broader applications of their learning. Watching students progress from uncertainty to mastery, curiosity, and genuine enthusiasm for life sciences is immensely rewarding. My ultimate aim is to help learners develop a lifelong appreciation for biology and equip them with skills to pursue future scientific exploration confidently.

Biology becomes fascinating when students can see the connection between living organisms and their environments. In my lessons, I focus on human anatomy, cellular biology, genetics, physiology, plant and animal systems, and ecology. Beginners start with the fundamentals of cells, tissues, and organs, gradually building a foundation in understanding life processes. Intermediate learners explore molecular mechanisms, genetics, evolutionary biology, and ecosystem interactions, enhancing analytical skills and understanding of complex systems. Advanced learners study advanced physiology, biochemistry, genetics, and experimental techniques, preparing them for exams, research, and real-world applications.
I structure lessons to foster curiosity, observation, and analytical thinking. Each class includes diagrams, real-life examples, interactive discussions, and practical exercises to help students connect theory to everyday life. Students are encouraged to ask questions, explore, and critically analyze biological processes. By integrating practical examples and conceptual understanding, learners gain confidence in both knowledge retention and application.
