About Leah
I have been passionate about biology since I was young, intrigued by the complexity of living systems and the underlying mechanisms that govern life. This led me to earn a B.Sc in Molecular Biology and an M.Sc in Life Sciences, gaining deep insight into cellular, physiological, and ecological processes. Over the past 10 years, I have taught students at all levels, helping them develop confidence, understanding, and enthusiasm for biology. I teach with patience, structure, and clarity, using interactive methods, diagrams, examples, and problem-solving exercises to help students grasp difficult concepts. Many learners who initially feel overwhelmed develop confidence and deep understanding as they progress, connecting theory to real-life biological phenomena. Outside the classroom, I stay engaged with current research, laboratory projects, and ecological observations. This allows me to bring contemporary examples into lessons, helping students understand the practical relevance of biology. Teaching biology is deeply rewarding because I witness students grow in curiosity, analytical thinking, and confidence in understanding life sciences.

Biology becomes fascinating when students see the connections between microscopic processes and large-scale systems in nature. My lessons cover cell biology, genetics, physiology, ecology, evolution, and environmental science with clear, structured, and interactive explanations. I focus on helping learners understand mechanisms and processes rather than rote memorisation, making biology both comprehensible and relevant. Beginners explore basic cell structure, anatomy, and introductory ecological principles. Intermediate learners study molecular biology, biochemical pathways, inheritance patterns, and ecological interactions. Advanced students tackle experimental analysis, complex physiological systems, ecological modelling, and critical evaluation of biological data. Each session combines explanation, discussion, and practical examples to build knowledge and analytical thinking. Biology lessons also develop observation skills, critical thinking, and scientific reasoning. Students gain confidence in analysing biological systems, understanding processes, and applying knowledge practically. My goal is to cultivate curiosity, analytical thinking, and competence in life sciences while preparing learners for advanced study or research.
