About Quinn
My interest in biology began with curiosity about how microscopic processes shape entire living organisms. This fascination led me to complete a B.Sc in Biological Sciences, followed by an M.Sc in Molecular Biology, where I studied cellular mechanisms, genetics, and molecular interactions in depth. Over the past 8 years, I have supported students in developing strong biological understanding through structured and supportive teaching. I approach teaching with patience, empathy, and clarity, recognising that biology can feel complex without proper guidance. I focus on helping students connect concepts, interpret diagrams, and think scientifically rather than memorising details. Many learners who initially struggle gradually develop confidence as they understand how biological systems work together. Outside teaching, I stay engaged with biology through scientific reading, research updates, and continued exploration of life sciences. These experiences allow me to bring current knowledge into lessons. Teaching biology is deeply rewarding because I see students develop curiosity, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the living world.

Biology becomes engaging when students understand how living systems function together rather than memorising isolated facts. In my lessons, I guide learners through cell biology, genetics, human physiology, ecology, evolution, and biological processes using clear explanations that emphasise connections and real-life relevance. I help students visualise processes at the cellular and organismal level so concepts feel logical and meaningful. Lessons are adapted to each learner’s academic stage. Beginners explore cell structure, basic life processes, and classification with supportive guidance. Intermediate learners develop understanding of genetics, metabolic pathways, organ systems, and experimental reasoning. Advanced learners focus on molecular biology concepts, data interpretation, biological analysis, and exam preparation. Each lesson combines explanation, diagrams, and guided questions to reinforce understanding. Biology lessons also strengthen observation skills, analytical thinking, and scientific curiosity. As students gain clarity, they become more confident engaging with complex topics and scientific reasoning. My goal is to help learners appreciate biology as a structured, fascinating subject that explains the living world around them.
