About Dany
I have been Programme Leader for Level 3 BTEC in Applied (Medical) Science at a West Yorkshire College for the last six years teaching Human Physiology, Microbiology, Biomedical Sciences, Disease & Infection and Criminal Investigation.
For the last eleven years I have also ran my company (Sherlock Bone) which runs a series of workshops in Crime Scene Investigation, Forensic Anthropology and Forensic Facial Reconstruction. I have taught people from a range of backgrounds across levels from key stage 1 to degree as well as adult education and demonstrated for museums including the Museum of London.
I am looking to expand my teaching experiences by being available for online tutoring to reach out to a broader spectrum of learners around the world.

Due to my previous teaching experiences, I wish to teach to learners ranging from level 2 through to degree level in biological sciences, human physiology, human anatomy, microbiology, biomedical sciences, criminal investigation, biological anthropology, human osteology or forensic science techniques.
My usual method of teaching is to start the session with an overview and quiz of the material taught from the previous lesson. Then we move forward to cover the material for the current lesson, this could be through a range of presentation, worksheets, demonstration, practicals, videos, research etc. I like to explore a range of teaching methods to give my learners a diverse learning experience. I always end the session with an overview of the material covered and assess learning that has taken place. These assessments could be completed by a quiz, exam style questions, mini learner lead presentation etc.
I will always start online tuition by firstly having a conversation with my learner to identify the objectives of the experience for example, what they hope to achieve as well as identify any limitations to their learning and additional needs they may require to learn successfullly
