About Mengyuan

Hi, I’m Mengyuan, a PhD-qualified tutor with a passion for helping students grow in confidence and achieve their goals. Teaching has always come naturally to me — even during my studies, classmates often came to me with questions because they knew I would explain things patiently and never judge anyone. I genuinely enjoy walking alongside my students on their learning journey, watching them overcome challenges and improve step by step. There’s a special sense of fulfilment when I can successfully teach something I know and see it “click” for them. Over the years, I’ve built strong relationships not only with my students but also with their parents, earning their trust and appreciation through my supportive and approachable teaching style. I believe that learning should be encouraging and enjoyable, and I aim to create a safe environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing themselves. For me, tutoring isn’t just about teaching a subject — it’s about building confidence, inspiring curiosity, and helping each student reach their potential. At the same time, tutoring allows me to continue doing what I love while earning some extra income to support my living — a rewarding balance that motivates me to give my best in every lesson.

About the lesson

I have taught many students in Singapore across science subjects and helped a UK student raise her Mandarin GCSE grade from 4 to 7 within 1.5 years. Whether you’re aiming to improve your grades, prepare for exams, or build confidence in challenging subjects, I will create a personalised learning plan to meet your goals.
