About Julie

I am a student in the third year of a bilingual administrative manager in a apprenticeship program. This training allows me to practice English both in an academic and professional environment, which is a real opportunity because my long-term project is to move abroad!

My days can be long, but pedagogy is a great way to practice the language (tip 1!) And the give and take aspect as well.

Every summer from my thirteenth to my eighteenth, I went on a linguistic trip to England and Ireland. In terms of recent experience, I volunteered to take remedial classes in French and English for different levels of students.

I am a great reader of all literary genres, the only one that does not fit is the theater! Big fan of Stephen King to name just one.

I give private English lessons, from the basics in primary to preparation for Level A.

About the lesson

I adapt my courses according to the level of the student and the requirements that are required of him/her during the course. Depending on this, I incorporate oriented or additional exercises in my courses to fill in the identified gaps. I base my lessons on the pupil's manual if there is one, so that he / she is not lost between lessons at school and at home.

Depending on the program, I set up my own course schedule that I have the student validate who knows exactly what we are discussing in each course. This schedule is not fixed, it can vary according to the progress in progress or even the mood of the student! Sometimes he / she is tired, depressed or tense and the rigor of a schedule can sometimes irritate, which is understandable and this is not the goal! In these cases, I discuss with the student which exercises could be suitable for both of us: the grammar / vocabulary exercises in silence work surprisingly well! This schedule also reassures parents who know what has been done at each lesson.

I attach a lot of importance to oral expression, I exercise it with the student at the end of each course, according to the theme addressed during it. This helps to break shyness or fear of making mistakes, as soon as possible!
