About Chiamaka
I am a medical student in Nigeria. I have been opportune to tutor younger students in a women empowerment club I volunteer for, and that has been tremendously amazing. Their curiosity is,to me, as beautiful as it is frightening. And that has helped me stay abreast with all that concerns them as children and teenagers. It's so fulfilling having young people be okay in that vulnerability that comes with "not knowing" and then comfortable enough to approach me for knowledge of whatever it is that they need at any time. The goal is to allow them ask those questions, however silly they are and help them get constructive and objective answers depending on what the case is.

I am a medical student and all I did for the first few years of medical school was to try out all sorts of study methods and techniques to see which helped me assimilate best. I eventually found one, something that made me a lot more eager to study and helped improve my grades tremendously. It's simple- case based study. This simply means trying out a lot of examples and then exercises (in my case, actual clinical scenarios) after studying a particular topic. I've seen it work for those I have mentored. Most times, they start looking up exercises themselves for us to tackle. It's so exciting when we get to put our brains to work; fun!
