About Fiona

I’m Fiona Hallam, a dedicated yoga, pilates and wellness practitioner with a deep passion for holistic healing. With over a decade of experience, my journey has evolved through dance, surfing, yoga, pilates, breathwork, and meditation—practices that have shaped my approach to movement and wellbeing. This has led me to travel the world offering my specialties to various five-star resorts and studios as a Visiting Practitioner including Maldives, France, Mentawiis, Australia and the UK.

I aim to have a nurturing and compassionate approach to helping individuals achieve mental, emotional, and physical balance. My expertise lies in biomechanics, body alignment, and movement optimization to enhance performance, longevity, and overall functioning. By blending traditional yoga techniques with modern science and holistic wellness perspectives from both Eastern and Western approaches, I offer a transformative experience that goes beyond the mat.

My teaching philosophy is centered on education and empowerment, helping you use yoga therapeutically to thrive. Through intuitive guidance and a warm, supportive space, I invite you to restore balance and harmony in your life.

My teaching philosophy is centered on education and empowerment. I don't just guide you through a sequence; I help you understand the why behind every movement.

By blending traditional Eastern techniques with modern Western science, I provide a transformative experience that goes beyond the mat to support your unique journey.

My approach is nurturing and compassionate. I aim to create a safe, supportive space—whether online or in person—where you can shift from "doing" to "being". Every session is an opportunity to clear the static from your nervous system and return to your natural state of balance.

Techniques & Teaching Methodology
I specialize in a multi-disciplinary "hybrid" style that I tailor specifically to your body's needs on any given day.
Biomechanics & Alignment: My background in dance and anatomy allows me to focus on movement optimization, ensuring every pose enhances your performance and physical longevity.

The Therapeutic Blend: I integrate Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga with Mat and Reformer Pilates.

Functional Tools: We may utilize tools like tennis balls for myofascial release, or yoga blocks and straps to support mobility and stability.

Breath & Mindset: Every lesson incorporates Pranayama (breathwork) and meditation to nourish your parasympathetic nervous system—the "rest and restore" state.


Lesson Structure & Length
Standard Session: Lessons are typically 60 minutes, providing a comprehensive flow of movement, breath, and relaxation.
Bespoke Lengths: For deeper therapeutic work or restorative practices like Yin and Yoga Nidra, extended sessions can be arranged to suit your schedule.


What to Expect: We begin with a check-in to assess your physical and mental state, followed by a sequence designed for your specific goals (e.g., core strength, injury recovery, or digestive support), and end with a guided relaxation to integrate the benefits.


Qualifications & Expertise
With over a decade of experience in movement and wellness, I have shared my specialties globally as a Visiting Practitioner at 5-star resorts in the Maldives and France. My credentials include:
Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT): Multi-style training in India, Bali, and the Netherlands (Vinyasa, Yin, Pre/Post Natal, and Yoga Nidra).
Pilates Specialist: Certified in both Mat and Reformer Pilates.
Academic Background: B.Ed. in Dance and Drama (UNSW), providing a deep pedagogical understanding of how people learn and move.
Advanced Anatomy: Specialized certifications in Yoga Anatomy and Myofascial Release with Yoga Medicine.
