About Sakeenah
I am a first-year undergraduate student studying a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance (in the French Immersion stream). Math has always been a passion and my strongest subject since I can remember. As a kid, I used to beg my mom to buy me those math practice books over the summer. When I started doing math Kumon worksheets I really enjoyed it and excelled in them earning awards for doing math for above my skill level. After that, I became a tutor there and I have helped many students understand math concepts while teaching for their style. With all that being said, I am very experienced as a math tutor and am excited to help more students!

Hi, I'm Sakeenah! I believe everyone can succeed in math when the explanations fit the way they think. I start by finding out where you are, what's confusing you, and what you want to achieve. Then I build lessons around that. My approach is built on:
- Clear, step-by-step explanations that break complex ideas into simple parts
- Active practice: you work through examples and exercises with me, so you're not just listening
- Regular check-ins and feedback so you can see your progress and keep your motivation up
- A patient, judgment-free space where asking questions is always welcome
My typical lesson plan will depend on the student, on the first session we can see what works for both of us and proceed from there!
