About Tatiana
I am an award-winning professional visual artist based in Vancouver, represented by Ian Tan Contemporary Art Gallery. My work is rooted in painterly realism, balancing expressive brushwork with a strong sense of structure and observation. With a background in Fine Art (MSc) and over 10 years of teaching experience, I bring both technical knowledge and a clear, structured approach to learning. I guide students step by step, helping them build confidence, refine technique, and develop their own artistic voice. I specialize in watercolour and oil painting, with a focus on realism and botanical subjects. My background in biology informs my work, allowing me to approach form, light, and detail with an analytical eye. As a demonstration artist for Winsor & Newton and Opus Art Supplies, I have extensive experience with professional materials and techniques, which I incorporate into my teaching.
