About Fiza

I'm a pretty good teacher- I have two younger sisters of my own (1 GCSE-level, 1 in first-year uni). I have taught them both. One of them is currently doing GCSEs, whilst the other has done them, gotten her A-levels, and is now studying a BSc Computer Science at UCL. I myself studied BSc (Hons) Physics with Astrophysics and Cosmology from King's College London, and am now a graduate software developer.

About the lesson

I've been tutoring for 8 years privately and have taken on numerous clients both nationally and internationally. I've also worked in a formal academy (Aim Higher Tuition Services, Langley Grammar School, Slough); here, I taught mathematics to GCSE students. Privately, I have taught English Language, English Literature, Science (triple - biology, chemistry, physics), and Mathematics to students in KS3 to A-levels. Currently, I am teaching KS3 and GCSE students only. My grades are as follows, where I studied in a private school for GCSEs and Upton Court Grammar School (A-levels/sixth form). - A*A*A* (A-levels: Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science) - A*, A*, 8, 8, A, A, A, A, 6, B, B (GCSEs, including: English Language (8), English Literature (8), Mathematics (6), Urdu (A*), Arabic (A), Double Science (B, A)) Me now: I currently work as a graduate software developer at the London Stock Exchange, and obtained this job after completing an internship within the company last year. I have extensive Python programming experience. Lesson lengths offered: 1 hour, 2 hours Lessons offered to: Students from year 7 to year 11, GCSEs. Techniques and Methodology: I heavily work on an exam-style approach. I always include exam-style and past papers every lesson, so students can utilise the theory and content learned in REAL exam-style work, so that they perform their best in what matters: exam settings. I find that many students will perform well in low-stress situations, for example their school classroom, doing homework at home, working from a textbook; but when the exam date comes along, they freeze up! Getting students used to the font, question style, and exam layout can utilise a desensitising approach to help them perform equally well in exams. This approach has worked for myself, my sisters, and my students.
