About Sophia
I’ve been practicing art since I was a little kid. I’ve always loved painting in particular and continued to practice it on a more serious level. During my 4 years at school I have participated in school events that required artistic input and work. I have also participated in gallery shows and competitions such as VASE and Young American Talent. I have taken many different art classes, my favorite being: life drawing, painting, and printmaking.

- I’d like to teach beginner/moderate artists
- I like to teach by example so I’d be more than happy to also participate in what I am teaching
- I don’t focus too much on technique. It is important, however, there are many different ways to approach art. Use whatever works best for you
- I like to focus a lot on color and how a limited color palette, such as primary colors, are able to mix and create a multitude of variations
